In-line Camera Inspection

To ensure you exceptional plumbing services, Brewer Commercial Services will use every tool at our disposal… including video cameras. These specially made fiber optic cameras allow for a visual inspection of underground sewer lines and other piping to determine the condition of the inside of the pipe. A flexible rod with a high-resolution video camera on its tip is inserted into the pipe for inspection. Video images are transmitted to the camera operator and can be saved onto a videotape or DVD for a permanent record. Radio transmitters on the camera record the depth and physical location from the surface so that defects and obstructions can be corrected cost effectively.

Video Inspection and Locating

Video inspection of sewer lines is the process of using a flexible fiber optic camera to visually inspect and record the inside of a sewer system. Detailed inspections are a way to evaluate the condition of a line for trouble spots, damage, penetrations and foreign objects.

Locating is the process of finding the exact location and depth of the transmitter. Typically built into the head of sewer camera or attached to other drain/sewer equipment, a locating transmitter uses radio pulses in which a receiving wand can triangulate the location and depth.
